Donor:
Stimulation is a process of providing her own gametes, to another individual or couple known or unknown who is not conceiving with their own gametes, by natural pregnancy. Nowadays individual couples are asking consultant gynecologist or infertility specialist for seeking a donor program for their needs.
In recent times law enforcement of ART act 2019 /20 has implemented various rules and regulations for the gamete’s donor programming.
The New ART bill will protect the rights, and interest of the party involved in donor programming. Such as donor recipients and children born through these procedures.

Eligibility criteria
- Age 23 to 35
- Health: Mentally and physically fit with free from genetic and hortatory disorders
- Screening: Donors should go for psychological and medical assessment to ensure criteria for egg donor.
- Body Mass Index (BMI) is lower than 28.
- within the Normal Weight Range.
- Mature and prepared to help a couple have a child.
- Egg Donors must be non-smokers and drug-free.
- Physically and psychologically healthy.
- Have regular, monthly menstrual periods.
- Have both ovaries.
- Mentally efficient to donate her eggs.
- Willing to take injections and other medications.
- No current use of psychoactive drugs or psychiatric hospitalizations.
- No history of substance abuse.
- No serious heart disease or heart attacks.
- No family history of inheritable genetic disorders.
- Dependable, mature, and able to keep appointments.
Anonymous donation and Known donation:
The new law in India recognizes both anonymous egg donor and known egg donors.
- Anonymous donation: refers to cases where the donor’s identity is not disclosed to the recipient,
- Known donation: involves the recipient having access to the Donor’s identity.
The choice between anonymous and known donation depends up on the preferences of the recipient and the donor. The new law allows for reasonable compensation to be provided to egg donors for their time, effort, and any associated expenses.
Confidentiality:
Personal information cannot be disclosed without consent.
Ethics consideration:
The new law emphases the importance in ethics related towards the ART Act. It prohibits any exploitation or coercion of donors. And ensure their dignity and wellbeing is protected throughout their cycle.
Art law ensures the number of embryos that can be implanted by reducing the risk of multiple pregnancy of associate risk.
